LET'S HELP OTHERS: BECOME A VOLUNTEER
For Immigrant Parents in Canada
Clarity for your family. Confidence in the system.
Dzifah Tamakloe helps immigrant parents understand Canadian child welfare expectations, avoid preventable misunderstandings, and respond confidently if concerns arise, so children remain safe and families stay together.
You don’t need fear. You need clarity. Many immigrant parents are raising their children with love, discipline, and strong cultural values—yet still feel uncertain about how Canadian child welfare systems interpret their parenting.
Misunderstanding—not neglect—is often the real risk.
Dzifah works at that intersection.
Many immigrant parents are raising their children with love, discipline, and strong cultural values, yet still feel uncertain about how Canadian child welfare systems interpret their parenting. Misunderstanding, not neglect, is often the real risk. Dzifah Tamakloe works at that intersection. Having grown up in a Ghanaian orphanage, she understands the long-term impact of family separation, stigma, and instability; this work is not theoretical, it is deeply personal. As a Canadian-trained Master of Social Work with over a decade of experience in child welfare, she understands what triggers investigations, how caseworkers assess risk, how Family Service Plans are structured, and what documentation matters. Dzifah bridges the cultural and systemic gap by translating parenting norms into system-safe language and turning institutional expectations into practical, protective action steps for families. She provides clear, strategic guidance for real-life situations, including preparing for a CAS visit, understanding your rights as a parent, reviewing and responding to a Family Service Plan, balancing cultural discipline practices with Canadian expectations, reducing the risk of misinterpretation, and building documentation and communication strategies that strengthen your position. This is not therapy; it is focused, culturally informed guidance designed to help you navigate the system confidently and protect your family proactively. Consultations are private, direct, and solution-oriented, centered on preserving family stability and strengthening your ability to respond effectively. Seeking guidance does not put you at risk; being uninformed does.
